Add Messaging to Your Web App
A common feature in a lot of apps is the ability to have messaging capabilities, allowing you and your users to send messages either to one other individual or to multiple people at the same time. Some other features include:
- Sending a picture in a message
- Add your profile picture
- Remove yourself from a message thread
- Visual notification for new messages
When you create your own messaging feature in your app, you have the power to create an almost endless list of features as well as control the “look-and-feel” or User Experience (“UX”) of the features.
Because we’re re-using the “create an account” and “login” functionality from the How-to Create a Calendar Scheduling App series, you should look at this video first. Once you are done watching that video, watch the first video in this series, where we’ll make some updates to the “create an account” functionality as well as add a Menu bar for navigating to the Calendar feature and the Peer-to-Peer video chat feature.
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog and watch the videos. My goal is to help you learn how to create apps using Bubble.is so you can unleash your creativity and create your own web apps. I believe showing you how to create these full-functional features is an effective way of helping you learn how to use Bubble.
