Bubble.is – Disruptive Technology

This blog may come across as a bit of a sales pitch for bubble.is, but I assure you I don’t belong to any bubble.is affiliate program (not even sure if they have one).  However, the more I talk to people and show them apps I or others have created using bubble, they’re amazed.  They’re amazed not only of the capabilities, how how quickly functional prototypes can be created.

I had a “concept” review with a client earlier today.  He was shocked at how quickly I was able to take some of his ideas from last week and create a semi-functional prototype in a matter of days (based on his prior experience with “developers”, he was expecting weeks or months).  Now mind you, I’m also trying to get a product launched, Facebook Ads created, hustling for Customers, etc, etc.  You know, the normal day job stuff.  Oh ya, and the family obligations too.

The point being – bubble allows you to have high leverage (our output) with your precious time.  I would hire a bubble developer over a “traditional” fullstack outsourcing shop in a heartbeat because I know how quickly bubble is for prototyping/MVP creation (as well a for products in production).  And it’s a lot cheaper than a “traditional” fullstack outsourcing firm.

When you have an idea that hasn’t done “battle” in the marketplace or doesn’t have many (any?) Customers, don’t you want to get it to users as quickly and inexpensively as possible so you can validate your idea?  Would you rather spend $70K-$100K over a 3-5 month period to create an MVP or spend a couple of weeks and $15K-$25K to get an MVP in front of your Customers?  I was fortunate enough to have learned bubble before I shelled out a small fortune for a dev-house to create my MVP.  This ultimately led to a painful conclusion that my idea didn’t have the market opportunity I thought it did even with positive feedback – c’est la vie in startup land!  If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, check out bubble.is as it is truly transformational and fits well into the whole Lean Startup philosophy.  Bubble has a vibrant user community; there’s lots of resources available for help and you can always reach out to me.
